After a years or so’s haitus, a new recording of an old sound now has a revised release date of 7th August 2026. It is called Don’t Say Goodbye (and Say You Love Me).

Laddersley’s newest release is a cinematic love song inspired by the excitement of new beginnings and the emotions of parting. Set against imagery of glowing Chinese lanterns, sunsets and lasting memories, the song explores love that endures through change.

This track sees a new direction for Laddersley into contemporary country music, with amazing results. This moving track tells of a blind date at New Year leading to a intense relationship. Despite the strength of that relationship, the emotional weight of a recent divorce created complications that eventually became impossible to ignore. The relationship ended not because the feelings weren’t real, but because timing and emotional baggage got in the way.
“Don’t Say Goodbye (And Say You Love Me)” skilfully mixed and mastered by Nick at Old Cottage Studios, captures that final moment between two people when love still exists, even as everything is falling apart. It’s about heartbreak, vulnerability, and wanting honesty before the end.
